Fun fruit based Space Invaders remake
The Attack of Mutant Fruits from Outer Space is a novel Space Invaders remake which while original in concept, doesn't really live up to the original.
The scene is thus - humans have destroyed themselves and The Earth Alliance have been sent fruits and vegetable seeds to an ecological reserve before it's too late. However, disaster - most of seeds mutated into new species leaving the whole universe vulnerable to fruit/vegetable attack!
The game features Space Invader style graphics and sound plus 10 different worlds around the galaxy, 8 original melodies and 3 different weapons and shields. You also have keyboard and joystick support so if you've got a joystick, you can play the game in classic arcade style. In addition, you can upload your high scores to the internet to compare with other players.
The Attack of Mutant Fruits from Outer Space isn't exactly a classic game but it's at least a slightly different take on the Space Invader genre.
